Niels Nielson

Nels traveled to the Salt Lake Valley in 1864.  His mother, Kirsten Petersen, is found in the Perpetual Emigrating Fund records on 15 October 1863.  His mother and brother are found in the Logan 1st Ward records in 1864 and 1865.  Further research is needed to identify which company he and his family traveled with.  

Nels is found as Niels Lars Petersen on the ship registers of the Monarch of the Sea, which traveled from Liverpool to New York from 28 April-3 June 1864. Also found on the ship registers were his mother and siblings Alma Franklin Nelson, Carrie Christina Petersen, and Soren Joseph Nielsen. He also went by the name of Nelson
