Reese Evans

The Evans family sailed to America in 1861 on the ship Manchester.  A secondary source states that Phebe Reese Evans came to Utah in 1861 with the Peter Ranck pioneer company, but a primary source is needed to confirm this information.  There is no company roster for the Ranck company.

The inscription on Reese's gravestone in California shows the following:  Reese R. Evans, Born December 18, 1847, Died June 17, 1924.
