Samuel John Francis

Evidence from emigration, genealogical and census records proves that the Samuel and his sister Elizabeth traveled to Utah in 1866. They sailed to American on the ship Arkwright in 1866, but the first documentation to place them in Utah is the marriage of Elizabeth 18 March 1867, which was prior to the arrival of that season's emigration. Further research is needed to determine and the name of the company they traveled with.

His birth and death dates are confirmed by the inscription on his gravestone in Canada.
