Sarah Ellen Hallam
Wife of Samuel Worthen. The family surname is spelled "Worthing" in the 1850 census of Iowa, taken in September, and in the record of Sarah's re-baptism at Salt Lake City, 22 February 1852. She must have crossed the plains in 1851. At the time of the 1856 Territorial census the family was living the Salt Lake 15th ward. Further research is needed to confirm the year of their arrival and determine the name of the pioneer with which they traveled to Utah.
Sarah sailed to America with her parents in 1842 on the ship Hope.
