Thomas James Hodgkinson
Evidence from emigration, census and baptism records proves that the Hodgkinson family traveled to Utah in 1849. His name appears in the records of the Utah Territorial Militia at Box Elder County in October 1852. At the time of the 1870 Federal census Thomas was living with his mother in Carson City, Nevada. Further research is needed to identify the name of the pioneer company with which the family crossed the plains.
