William Ashdown

Sources from emigration, newspaper, and church (Perpetual Emigration) records prove that the Ashdown family came to Utah in 1861.  His birth and death dates are confirmed by his death certificate.

From the Life of William Neves by Dinah Alice Neves, his daughter puts them in the 1861 Ira Eldredge Company.

He was rebaptized in Salt Lake City on 5 Dec. 1861 according to information in the 13th Ward record of members. His surname appears as "Ashton" on those records.
