The Church History Library, located in Salt Lake City, Utah, preserves vast collections of documents, photographs, books, and other artifacts related to the history of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Many of these collections are made available digitally and in the library’s reading room in order to facilitate research.
While the Church History Library remains closed to the public, we are excited to announce that, starting on Tuesday, July 6, the library’s reading room has reopened on an appointment basis during the following hours:
Monday through Friday: 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: Closed.
To request a reading room appointment, please use our online Ask Us service. We will continue to follow local and state health guidelines as we reopen. The library expects to open fully to the public on August 2, 2021.
