  • She is the daughter of Thomas Evans and Ann John Evans, who died in 1853.  The Evans family sailed to America in 1856 on the ship S. Curling.

    Her death certificate has her birth date as 13 July 1851 and the Utah State History Cemeteries and Burials Database and the inscription on her gravestone shows her birth as 13 July 1848.  Her name is listed as "Emma Evans Nalder" on her death certificate and gravestone.
