At the October General Conference, 1861 F.W. Young, with others, were called to settle in Southern Utah.
October, 1863 was released from Southern Utah Mission by President Brigham Young and called to go to Bear Lake where he was appointed County Clerk and then Recorder for Richland County, Idaho.
1875 called to settle on the Sevier, going first to establish the town of Leamington and then Rabbit Valley.
