Lydia traveled with her husband and children to the Utah Valley. The obituary of Martha confirms the family's travel to Utah in 1852.
She married Lewis Mecham 5 Apr 1836. They joined the Mormon church then moved to Nauvoo where they joined the Saints and moved westward to Utah.
